THAILAND, CHECK.

We flew in to Bangkok just 24 hrs after the curfew was lifted, convenient as our hotel was in the Sukhumvit area. Skeletons of burnt malls were evident but life seemed to go on just as usual. There were a few things on the schedule, the sleeping buddah and the Royal Palace, both breathtaking but having fullfilled the touristic obligarions we wandered around, sailed on the river, ate at the old lokal foodmarket and enjoyed the CLEAN and beautiful Bangkok.
Early this morning we jumped on an open train to the Poiphet border, five hours of Thailand sightseeing, I can state that it is a gem.
The crossing over the border was quick and efficient, and in Siem Riep we booked into the golden banana ( thank you for the tip Marja) hotel, a splendid, chick smart, small hotel run by a Dutch man. Rútur has eaten his first marinated insects and is in seventh heaven and now we are heading for the culinaries of the Khmer people
