Next destination: Bangkok. Hopefully the curfew has been lifted as Bangkok is a city equally, even slightly more interesting by night as by day. Finally back to a noisy, obnoxious & wicked metropolis. After eight months in easy going Damascus I am looking forward to the telling traits of dark big cities. Don't get me wrong, if Delhi is anything it is filthy and loud but lacks that definitive central, downtown feeling of some metropolises. Its just too spread out. Bangkok with its police and their sirens, crowds, nightlife, financial districts, gangs, subways, fancy cars and fancy, shallow good looking people, unnecessarily bad common decency and courtesy and all the uncaring, vulgar and indifferent masses one can handle. Bangkok, Sin City, I can't wait. A refreshing change. I'm a jungle cat and I need a jungle, not the prairie.
